How to connect Squarespace + ConvertKit

Heads up! This page contains affiliate links (including Squarespace affiliate links). If you buy something through one of those links, you won’t pay a penny more, but I’ll earn a small commission. I’ll never promote something that I don’t 100% believe in and use myself. Thank you for your support!

I think it’s pretty obvious I love Squarespace. If you’re curious to see what all the hype is about, use code PARTNER10 at checkout to receive 10% your first year of any Squarespace plan.

It’s no secret that email marketing is still one of the best ways that you can generate income for your business. And while this post isn’t about why email marketing is so important (read this post from Jenna Kutcher if you still need convincing!), I want to show you how to connect one of the most popular email marketing platforms with your Squarespace website.

I personally use ConvertKit for my email marketing and I’m very pleased with it. I’ve done lots of research on email marketing platforms and I still haven’t found something that is better than CK for small to medium-sized business, in my humble opinion.

I think Squarespace’s built-in email marketing platform has the potential to get there as they keep updating it, but I still think it’s at least a year away before it may have the functionality I want in my email marketing platform.

I think Squraespace Email Campaigns works just fine for the most basic email marketing, like sending out a weekly newsletter. But if you require sorting and tagging of your list, or extensive automations, then it isn’t quite there just yet. But hopefully in the near future!

So in the meantime, I’m still happily using ConvertKit and thankfully, it connects super easily with my Squarespace site!

I’m going to show you two ways you can connect ConvertKit forms to your site. One being popping in the form to any page using a code block, and the other is connecting a CK form to a cover page using Google Drive + Zapier.

If you haven’t yet discovered the magic of Zapier, hold onto your hats cause you’re about to be dazzled. 💃🏼

And I won’t be showing you how to build your form in ConvertKit, that will be another tutorial. So for now, here is a help article showing you how to build your form. Once your form is built in CK, come back here to learn how to connect it to Squarespace!
